To describe GETTER simply as an American DJ would be a gross disservice. He is an artist with many different faces. He is a rapper under another persona, Terror Reid, founder of Shred Collective - which is his own record label, clothing shop, and artist collective, and also an actor/comedian. His music is classed under the genres of dubstep, trap, electro house, EDM. However, the vibes which emnate from his sound can be described as raw, gritty, anxious, playful, and somewhat cinematic. He often samples from retro and classic video games such as Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in his track Stay a While. His EP, Psycho, explores facets of rage and empowerment with highly variant yet cohesive creativity.
This project is very dear to my heart and designing it was a complete joy from start to finish - including the production of 100000 bajillion revisions, editions, and color palettes. The brief required a spicy, provoking brand/artistic identity enveloped within some obsolete, antiquated packaging, merch that sparked excitement without overwhelming, and cohesiveness in tour poster.
